Seattle, WA — January 5, 2025 - Blink Anesthesia: A Year Defined by Impact and Innovation
Thanks to our incredible customers and global partners, Blink Anesthesia reached new heights in 2025. We’re thrilled to highlight the achievements that reflect our ongoing commitment to advancing quantitative neuromuscular monitoring.
Elevating the Standard of Twitch Monitoring
Blink Anesthesia remains committed to the belief that quantitative neuromuscular monitoring should be reliable, easy to use, and as routine as pulse oximetry. Throughout the year, the company advanced this vision with firmware releases to TwitchView devices. Updates include an even faster one-button startup, enhanced signal processing that improves signal quality and reliability to capture even the smallest twitches, automatic electrode size detection, and a refined user interface that presents all critical information at a glance—helping clinicians make informed decisions quickly and confidently.
“We are particularly proud of the enhanced twitch detection and automatic electrode size detection,” said Director of Engineering Dan Hoffman. “These innovations reinforce our position as the market leader in adult and pediatric neuromuscular blockade monitoring and demonstrate our commitment to advancing patient care.”
Expanding Clinical Adoption Across the U.S.
Over the past year, Blink Anesthesia has been rapidly expanding its reach, completing numerous large-scale installations of 50 or more TwitchView® Systems across hospital partners nationwide, including in Maryland, Ohio, Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois, Florida, and California. This rapid expansion reflects the growing demand for reliable, quantitative neuromuscular monitoring.
In one of its notable 2025 milestones, Blink Anesthesia launched a system-wide installation of 119 TwitchView® Systems at a major academic medical center in Maryland, marking one of the company’s largest deployments to date. This achievement highlights the growing recognition of the TwitchView® Train of Four Monitor as the market leading quantitative monitoring solution, supporting the prevention of residual paralysis and the enhancement of perioperative safety.
Strengthening Focus on Anesthesia Providers
Blink Anesthesia refined its company brand to align more closely with the clinicians it serves, ensuring every product decision supports real-world workflows, surgical environments, and patient safety priorities.
As awareness and adoption of quantitative monitoring continue to accelerate, Blink Anesthesia is poised for further growth in academic, community, and integrated health systems. The company anticipates new product advancements, expanded clinical collaborations, and additional system-level deployments in the coming year.
“Our momentum this year reinforces a simple truth,” said CEO Justin Hulvershorn, MD, PhD. “When clinicians have access to accurate data, patient care improves. That’s what motivates us—and that’s what our team is building toward every day.”
